Festival de Oversteek is muziek, theater, dans, literatuur, beeldende kunst en meer op groene en sfeervolle locaties aan de Waal in Nijmegen-Noord.
Festival de Oversteek gebruikt het prachtige rivierenlandschap van Nijmegen-Noord als podium en decor voor de kunsten. Muzikanten, dans- en theatermakers, beeldend kunstenaars en andere kunstenaars laten zich inspireren door natuur en cultuurhistorie op locatie, en presenteren vaak nieuw werk. Publiek maakt letterlijk de oversteek naar vaak onbekende voorstellingen, en komt op bijzondere, vaak onbetreden locaties aan de oevers van de Waal.
Met Expeditie Noord gebruikt Derde Wal in samenwerking met Festival de Oversteek het dynamische rivierenlandschap van Nijmegen-Noord als dcor en podium voor beeldende kunsten. Hierbij laten kunstenaars zich inspireren door de aanwezige natuur en cultuurhistorie, het omringende landschap en de actualiteit. Het werk van de kunstenaars belicht het landschap op kunstzinnige wijze, en nodigt publiek uit met nieuwe ogen naar de omgeving te kijken.
Deelnemende kunstenaars: Anouschka Pessy, Chantal van Lieshout, Derk Müller, Peer Vink, Maarten Bel, Hessel Josemans en Eef Veldkamp.
Festival de Oversteek is music, theatre, dance, literature, visual arts and more at green and atmospheric locations on the Waal in Nijmegen-North.
Festival de Oversteek uses the beautiful river landscape in the North of Nijmegen as a stage and backdrop for the arts. Musicians, dance and theater makers, visual artists and other artists are inspired by nature and cultural history on location, and often present new work. The visitors literally make the crossing to often unknown performances, and comes to special, often untrodden locations on the banks of the Waal.
With Expeditie Noord, Derde Wal, in collaboration with Festival de Oversteek, uses the dynamic river landscape of Nijmegen-North as a décor and stage for visual arts. Artists are inspired by the present nature and cultural history, the surrounding landscape and current events. The work of the artists artistically illuminates the landscape and invites the public to look at the environment with new eyes.
